2021 was a year of glorious triumphs and some bitter failures.
In 2022, we commit to working just as hard, learning from our experiences this past year.
Onwards and upwards!
That said, the events of December capture the year pretty well. Here's a quick recap:
Poodle massacre
Thanks to your support and hard work, the National Petition to prosecute this monster who tortured and murdered 19 toy poodles will reach President Moon's desk. Together, we collected the necessary 200,000 signatures to warrant a response from the President.
Births and Deaths
Two of our recent rescues recently gave birth to a collective 11 puppies, of which only 2 survived. Both dogs had been undergoing serious treatments for their tick-borne diseases heartworm and anaplasma. It's always heartbreaking when puppies don't make it during delivery, but we are going to focus on the positive and pour everything we've got into the 2 surviving puppies and the post-partum recoveries of both moms.
International Adoptions
A total of 4 dogs flew out of the country in the month of December. Haha, Elizabeth and Dada are all stateside now, waiting to be matched to their forever homes. Royal has been the first to go home, and as you can see on our @breath_project Instagram post, the boy is thriving. Let's hope the new year will see many more dogs fly out to their happily ever afters!
Remember to follow our socials, especially YouTube (where we live stream almost every day) and Instagram (where you can find our most up-to-date work and rescues).
Happy New Year!
